As the year comes to an end, we would like to celebrate the successes of 2024 and anticipate the exciting learning and adventures that await us in 2025. This has been a year of learning, growth and achievement for the BSET Academy Team and Community.

Graduation Success

BSET Academy proudly celebrated the graduation of Koni Fobbe, whose remarkable dedication and talent earned her distinction in all her subjects. Koni was awarded multiple certificates, including ETT Practitioner, Certificate of Achievement in Academics and her ETT Practical, and Horse and Rider Combo for her outstanding work with Ling, who has now embarked on a racing career. She also achieved the unprecedented milestone of completing Ekwos Levels 1–4, making her the first student to reach Level 4 since its inception. In addition, Koni excelled in Sumchi Levels 1 and 2 and Entrepreneurship and Business Ventures (EBV).

We also extend our congratulations to the first-year students, who successfully completed their CATHSSETA modules. Their hard work and determination have set a strong foundation for their second year, and we look forward to welcoming them back in 2025.

SUMCHI Clinic Highlights

On Saturday, 21 December 2024, BSET Academy founder Beth returned to South Africa from Hong Kong for a two-week visit and conducted a SUMCHI Level 1 Clinic. The clinic hosted six local attendees and was a tremendous success. It was especially rewarding to see Demi, Robyn’s assistant, deeply engaged in learning from Beth. This experience will enrich Demi’s knowledge and enhance her role at BSET Academy. The clinic also provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with local equine enthusiasts and showcase the value of SUMCHI massage techniques.

Looking Ahead to 2025

The new year brings much excitement as we prepare to welcome seven (7) first-year students into the BSET Academy family. Their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives promise to make 2025 another year of learning and personal growth. With a dynamic curriculum and our dedicated team, we are eager to see all our students thrive in their equine education journey.

Together, we have achieved so much, and we are grateful for the commitment and passion that each team member brings to BSET Academy.

As we close 2024, we extend warm wishes to all our students, team members, and supporters for a joyful festive season and a successful start to 2025. Let’s trot into the new year with an open heart and an open mind!
